NAEYC Code of Ethics

I-1.1--To be familiar with the knowledge base of early childhood care and education and to stay informed through continuing education and training.
*Teach the teacher is my motto. As a matter of fact, it is my job and I truly love it. I have committed myself to continuing my education and my teachers are doing the same. It is important for us to stay abreast of laws, research, methods, curricula, toys and anything else related to children.

I-1.4--To appreciate the vulnerability of children and their dependence on adults.
*It is important for each of us to remember that children do need us and that they are our number one priority each and every day. Maintaining their helath and safety comes above all else.

I-2.2--To develop relationships of mutual trust and create partnerships with the families we serve.
*The relationships that we develop with the various family members are very important. We become members of their families and we should respect those relationships.
